Privacy

This page explains what happens to your information when you contact us or book a trip. We are a family fishing business, not a data company, and we keep as little as we can.

Who is responsible

Captain Tasos is operated by Mariana-Daniela Androullis, Akti Kountouriotou 27, Kos Town 85300, Greece. Professional licence 996643830. For anything on this page, write to hello@captaintasos.com or message +30 694 956 3578.

What we collect and why

When you reserve a trip with us we take your name, a phone number or email so we can reach you, the date and departure you want, and how many people are coming. We need this to run the trip and to tell you if the weather cancels it. We keep it for as long as our accounts require, then delete it.

We do not take payments on this website. There is no card form here and no payment processor. You pay in cash at the boat.

When you write to us on WhatsApp, by email or by phone, we keep the conversation so we can answer you. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and your messages pass through their servers under their own terms.

When you book through GetYourGuide, GetYourGuide collects your details and your payment, and passes us what we need to take you out. Their privacy terms apply to that booking, not ours.

The booking system

Reservations made through this website are handled by Bookeo, a booking platform we use as a processor on our behalf. They store the reservation details listed above on their servers so that we can see the day’s list on a phone at the quay.

This website

The site runs on WordPress on servers in Romania. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Our web host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

Photographs

We photograph trips and use some of those pictures here and on social media. If you appear in a photograph on this site and would rather not, tell us and we will take it down.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Write to the address above and we will answer. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
