Questions before you book
When do I pay?
On the boat, on the day of the trip. We do not take card details when you reserve and there is no deposit. The price is 50 euro for an adult, 30 euro for a child aged 1 to 9, and 30 euro for someone who comes along but does not fish.
What if the weather is bad?
We decide, not you, and we decide early. If the sea is too rough we cancel the trip, tell you the evening before or first thing that morning, and you pay nothing. If you are still on the island we will find you another day. We would rather lose a trip than take twelve people out in a swell nobody enjoys.
Can I cancel?
Free up to 24 hours before departure, and nothing to refund because nothing was charged. Message us and the seat goes to someone else.
Do I need any fishing experience?
No. Most people who come out with us have never held a rod. We bait the hook, show you how to drop the line, and stay next to you until you have it. Anglers who already know what they are doing are welcome too.
Can children come?
Yes, and they are usually the ones who catch the most. Children aged 1 to 9 pay 30 euro. There is shade on board and a toilet. Tell us their ages when you reserve.
What should I bring?
A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a bottle of water. That is all. Rods, tackle, bait and instruction are on the boat, and a drink and a sandwich are included. Soft shoes grip the deck better than sandals.
Where do we meet, and when should I arrive?
On the quay at Kos Harbour, Akti Kountouriotou 27, two minutes on foot from Dolphin Square. Look for the wooden boat with the blue Fishing Trip awning. Please be there twenty minutes before departure.
What happens to the fish we catch?
It is yours. Noah’s Ark, the restaurant on the harbour front, cooks whatever you land free of charge, grilled or fried, and you sit down and eat it. If you would rather not, take the fish with you.
What if I get seasick?
We stay close to the coast and we do not go out when the sea is rough, so most people are fine. If you know you are sensitive, take a tablet an hour before and sit at the back of the boat, which moves least. Tell us on board and we will turn back if you need to.
Do I need a fishing licence?
No. You fish under our licence while you are on board, so there is nothing for you to arrange.
How many people are on the boat?
Twelve at most, and often fewer. That is a decision, not a limit of the boat. With more than twelve there is not enough rail for everyone to fish properly.
How long is the trip, and when does it leave?
Three hours. We leave at 10:00 and again at 15:00, every day of the season. There is also a one-hour Mini-Cruise at 14:00 for 20 euro if you want the sea without the fishing.
